Protoss structures require power to operate, but have far more flexible tech requirements than that of other races. Power is provided by specialized structures. Tech is unlocked on a per-tier basis.

After avoiding damage for 2 seconds, Protoss combatants regenerate shields at a rate of 10 points per second, falling to 2 points per second over a period of 5 seconds.

Certain Protoss combatants can avenge fallen allies, or ascend fallen hostiles, to obtain temporary bonuses to movement speed and attack speed.

A select few Protoss Masters can Tyrannize hostile targets on death. Tyrannized combatants take 50% increased damage, and move 33% faster when in the presence of enemies.
